1. Acceptance of terms
By using KaroDesk, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site. We may update these terms from time to time (see "Changes to the service" below); continuing to use KaroDesk after an update means you accept the revised terms.
2. Description of services
KaroDesk provides free-to-use calculators for GST, tax, salary and general business math, plus invoice and quotation generators. These work without an account. An optional free account additionally lets you save customers, invoices and business details across sessions and devices through a signed-in dashboard.
3. Accounts and user responsibilities
If you create an account, you're responsible for the accuracy of the details you enter, for keeping your login credentials confidential, and for anything that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. Accounts are for a single person or business, not for resale or sharing across unrelated organizations.
4. Account suspension or termination
You can stop using KaroDesk at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates the "Acceptable use" section below, or that we reasonably believe is being used to abuse, disrupt or exploit the service. Where practical, we'll try to tell you why before or when this happens.
5. Your data and account deletion
Calculator inputs are never sent to our servers: see our Privacy Policy for the full detail. If you have an account, the invoices, customers and business details you add are stored so you can return to them later. You can delete individual invoices and customers yourself from within your account; to delete your account and all associated data entirely, email us at hello@karodesk.com and we'll action it.
6. Acceptable use
Don't attempt to disrupt or degrade the service for other users, scrape it at a volume that affects its availability, reverse-engineer it to build a competing product, use it for unlawful purposes, or redistribute it as your own. You may freely use the numbers, invoices and quotations you generate for your own business and personal purposes.
7. Intellectual property
The KaroDesk name, design, calculators and written content (guides, blog articles, FAQs) belong to the operator of KaroDesk unless stated otherwise. You keep all rights to the data you enter: your customer details, invoice line items and business information remain yours.
8. Third-party services
KaroDesk uses third-party providers to operate: for example, hosting and infrastructure, analytics, and (on free content pages only, never inside your signed-in dashboard) advertising. Your use of the site may be subject to those providers' own terms and policies where they apply; see our Privacy Policy for which providers and what data is involved.
9. Disclaimers
The calculators provide arithmetic assistance based on formulas and rates we believe to be current, not tax, legal or accounting advice. You remain responsible for the figures you file, invoice or report: see our full Disclaimer for detail on accuracy and rounding.
10. Limitation of liability
The site is offered as-is and as-available, with no guarantee of uninterrupted access. To the extent permitted by law, KaroDesk is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from use of the site, reliance on its calculations, or service interruptions.
11. Changes to the service
We may add, change or remove tools, features or these terms at any time. Material changes to these terms will update the "Last updated" date above; we encourage checking back occasionally if you rely on the service regularly.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law generally applicable to where KaroDesk's operator is based, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If you need this specified more precisely for your own compliance purposes, contact us and we'll confirm the applicable jurisdiction directly.
